As most of you know, I love to design different Fair Isle Cowls. Each design has a coloured rib that are of the 2 colours used throughout the pattern. I have had a few people ask me how to do the coloured rib, so I thought I would do a little video, showing how to.
A confession here. This is the first ever video I have ever recorded, perhaps I shouldn’t admit this but hey, we have all got to start somewhere 🙂
The most important part to take away from this video is you always move the yarn back behind your work every time you do a stitch. Knit stitch you always have the yarn at the back, but purl stitch you have to get into the habit of moving the yarn back behind and then go onto to do the knit stitch.
This Cowl is the 2nd colour ways I have done in this Fair Isle Design. You can buy the pattern or the Kit with or with needle on my shop folksy.com/shops/ChasobenDesigns
