We at Chasoben Designs decided to use this month as ‘Socktober’. Releasing a new sock kit each week, which is a challenge as itself, as we have been really busy completing orders for our lovely customers.
We decided to call this pattern Finley. I guess somebody pointed out the points look like shark fins, so hence Fin -ley!!!! Yes I know!
The next kit we released was ‘Leaf’ this time its obvious why!
Then we have Henry. Why Henry you ask? Well the pattern is mostly made of Mock Cable. The word ‘mock’ brings to mind ‘mock Tudor’ and who is one of the most famous Tudor – Henry 🙂
The final sock is called ‘Lovely’ This is a simple sock kit to introduce the art of knitting with beads. Below is a video I did to demonstrate how to put beads onto knitting with a crochet hook. I will need to do more videos as I still feel its an alien concept to me!!!
We have 13 kits for sale, many as you know are Fair Isle Cowl Kits. There are many in the pipeline. So many ideas, not enough time to carry them out, rings a bell!
In the next blog, I’ll explaining about how I am going to challenge myself to a 4 month personal challenge. I’ll be keeping a diary so you’ll be able to follow me on how I get on.
Thank you for reading this blog post. Please keep safe and see you next time x
